Acuity IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. was entrusted with the design and construction of an end-to-end mobile app, Instatrux, and web portal modules for Firefly Systems LLC. The app included features such as driver settlements, fleet management, load creation and tracking, and load ID/numbering architecture. Also of key significance was the integration of a driver directory in the mobile app and a rate confirmation and carrier notification workflow on the web portal. All these core functionalities were successfully delivered as part of the project.
Post-delivery, Acuity IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd. engaged in further work, enhancing the platform's capabilities. A major initiative was securing the mobile app and the web portal in accordance with OWASP security standards. This involved several aspects such as authentication, authorization, API/controller-layer protection, and ensuring adequate credential hygiene across frontend and backend components. Additionally, focused efforts were made to optimize app responsiveness and backend efficiency, targeting faster load times and reduced resource overhead.
A part of the project's scope was to ensure code quality, encompassing structured cleanup of legacy code, removal of technical debt, and improvements in coding standards across the mobile and web platforms. Increased system reliability and stability were also achieved. Accessibility compliance was ensured in line with WCAG 2.1 AA standards, improving usability for all users. To bolster quality assurance, end-to-end and UI automation testing frameworks were implemented. With approximately 80% of work items completed, the program then concentrated on security, performance, reliability, accessibility, and a set of new feature integrations to enhance platform capability.
