Highlights from Recent Projects
Active Logic worked with a renewable energy microgrid developer to transform an Excel-based modeling program into a more functional custom software. The application, designed for internal business use, models the battery usage of a renewable energy microgrid and calculates potential savings. Active Logic's team, which included a salesperson, an electrical engineer, a developer, and a communication lead, spent several weeks reviewing complex formulas and translating them into the new software. The project, which cost around $60,000, ran from February to May 2021 and is currently paused while the client seeks grant funding for further development.
The company also worked with Stanford University's Social Neuroscience Lab to develop a website for conducting psychological experiments. Active Logic was tasked with creating a website that could record participants as they watched videos, rate their perceptions, and randomize video presentation. The website also needed to prevent re-entry until a certain time had passed, randomly present videos, and allow for easy data download. The project was carried out within the university's budget and to their satisfaction.
Active Logic was hired by EnterpriseKC to develop a comprehensive talent exchange platform. The platform, designed to connect users, businesses, and educational resources for career development, includes features like an assessment tool, talent profiles, chat/messaging functionality, job search capabilities, and sections for education, training, and career exploration. The team from Active Logic, chosen for their geographic proximity, budget-friendly pricing, and cultural fit, included 2-5 employees. The scope of work included user experience design, single sign-on integration with Cyber Range, and the creation of a responsive website with content management capabilities. The project was successfully completed to the client's satisfaction.
