Active Logic

Active Logic was hired by a national software development company to convert over 500 pre-defined reports to a new report engine. After conducting several interviews and meetings, Active Logic was selected due to their shared core values and geographical proximity. The project was executed smoothly, with Active Logic working independently and delivering results periodically. The team consisted of a project manager and two developers. The project was successfully completed, meeting the client's expectations.

Active Logic worked with a renewable energy microgrid developer to transform an Excel-based modeling program into a more functional custom software. The software was designed to model the battery usage of a renewable energy microgrid and provide financial savings estimates. The project was initially intended to be a web app but is currently used internally. Active Logic's team, which included a salesperson, an electrical engineer, a developer, and a communication lead, had to rewrite complex Excel formulas to make the software work. The engagement, which cost around $60,000, was paused in May 2021 due to funding issues.

Stanford University's Social Neuroscience Lab contracted Active Logic to create a website for conducting psychological experiments. The website needed to have several features, including recording participants while they watch videos, organizing systems for video uploads and downloads, demographic questionnaires, a timer system, email integration, and a randomization system. Active Logic was chosen for their affordable pricing and good value for cost. Despite challenges and additional requests, Active Logic was able to deliver the website with all the necessary features.
