Academy

Academy worked with a pharmaceutical company to provide a series of workshops aimed at enhancing the company's understanding of design and its potential benefits. The first workshop was conducted in September 2018 by a subject matter expert from Academy, who used a PowerPoint presentation to introduce the concept of experience design. The executive director of experience design and research at the pharmaceutical company reached out to Academy's founder, Adam, with whom he was acquainted. The workshops are part of an ongoing series, indicating a continued engagement between the two entities.

In another project, Academy was contracted by CBRE Build, a segment of a leading commercial real estate firm, to design a tool for their clients. The tool was intended to automate the process of understanding workplace requirements and determining future office space needs. Academy's involvement began with a visioning session and culminated in the delivery of a final product complete with documentation and assets for the internal development team. The project, which ran from October 2017 to May 2018, involved multiple designers, a research engineer, and a project manager from Academy. The project cost was between $50,000 and $100,000.

Academy also partnered with a software-as-a-service (SaaS) company to run Design Sprint workshops for their end clients. The workshop, conducted by Academy's founder, Adam, was aimed at teaching larger companies how to follow the sprint methodology internally. The SaaS company sold tickets to the public for the workshop, which offered actionable takeaways and tactical tools. The partnership, which began in October 2017, is ongoing, with the SaaS company exploring additional consulting options with Academy.
