4mation Technologies was hired by Steel Builders, the largest supplier of steel in New South Wales, to transition their website from Magento to Shopify. The goal of the project was to create a more user-friendly platform that could easily be managed by all internal teams. This was particularly important as Steel Builders did not have in-house developers and only a one-person marketing team. The project also aimed to refresh the website's look and feel, and boost monthly revenue and conversion rates.
4mation Technologies was selected from a pool of three developers provided by the client's digital agency. They were chosen based on their proposal, which closely aligned with the client's desired service level and outcomes. The project involved a comprehensive list of non-negotiable improvements and a few additional features. The 4mation team worked closely with the client to prioritize these elements and successfully migrated all products from the old site to the new Shopify platform. They also developed a new quote request form and resolved several issues identified in a post-launch audit.
The project was a collaborative effort between three members of 4mation Technologies: the Head of Strategy, a Developer, and the Senior Business Development Manager. Overall, the client was satisfied with the outcomes of the project, acknowledging the team's ability to deliver on the project's goals and handle complex issues related to product migration and third-party app integration.
