Highlights from Recent Projects
Wedefineapps was hired by Opclo, a location saving platform, to develop its mobile app. The goal of the project was to prove the concept of the app, which required custom coding, multiple API integrations, and extensive planning. Despite a few hiccups along the way, the project has made significant progress since its inception in March 2019. The development process was characterized by a continuous approach, with development being constantly informed by user feedback and market demands. A project manager from Wedefineapps served as the main point of contact throughout the project.
ICarta, a networking startup, engaged Wedefineapps to develop a native application for iOS and Android. The app, which was developed using a range of languages, allowed users to create a virtual business card and share it via NFC or QR code. The project also involved a significant backend development due to the app's contact exchange feature. The engagement, which started in December 2019, was characterized by agile working and proved to be enjoyable and productive. The first version of the app is now available in stores and the company plans to continue working with Wedefineapps.
Wedefineapps was also engaged by a nonprofit organization to develop a web and mobile app. The platforms, which were developed from scratch, allow users to donate and track their donations. The app, developed for iOS and Android, works synchronously with the website. Wedefineapps currently provides maintenance for the platforms. The project, which started in September 2021, involved a team of 6-7 members from Wedefineapps, including iOS and Android app managers and website developers. The engagement, which has cost the nonprofit $15,000 so far, is ongoing.
