Highlights from Recent Projects
The Tactile Group developed a web application for an airport to facilitate the tracking and management of a workforce initiative. The initiative provided opportunities for employees who were let go due to no fault of their own. The application was built in MySQL for the backend and PHP for the frontend off Bootstrap. It featured user tracking, special authentication, compliance requirements on the merchant side, and administrative functionalities. The project, which cost around $20,000, started in September 2015 and was completed in July 2016.
The Tactile Group was hired by a government agency to update a web page as part of a regulatory update. The previous site had a tool for developers to submit their projects and plans online, which The Tactile Group enhanced. They also created an online version of a PDF design manual that was part of the CMS. This unique approach was a first in the nation. The project started in June 2014 and the site was launched in July 2015. The Tactile Group has been maintaining the site since then.
The Tactile Group was awarded a contract to develop an annual performance report application for a Federal Government Agency. The application, written in PHP with a MySQL database, collects aggregate data from state organizations and generates a national report. The Tactile Group also provided technical assistance, including website technical assistance modules, in-person and virtual training, and conference presentations. They also assisted in meeting a federal mandate to host with a FedRAMP-approved cloud service provider, moving the agency's infrastructure to the Amazon Web Services public cloud. The project, which cost $4.46 million, started on September 4, 2014.
