Subtext worked with a nonprofit organization to develop an online assessment tool for energy efficiency programs. The tool, designed for utility program implementors, evaluates industrial and commercial facilities' energy use through a series of questions. It generates visualizations, reports, and custom recommendations for improvement based on the data collected. Subtext also built a WordPress website and used Craft to develop other sites for the organization. They also won an additional RFP to support the IT department, recommending improvements in stability, security operations, and management. The collaboration began in November 2017 and continues to date.

Subtext was hired by The Renewal Workshop to replace their e-commerce platform with Shopify to accommodate their unique business model, which involves refurbishing damaged clothes and returned items. Subtext led the development process while The Renewal Workshop provided the content. The engagement started in August 2017 and ended in June 2018, but Subtext remains on a retainer. The project cost was between $25,000 and $50,000.

CultureIQ engaged Subtext for a full redesign of their website as the company was going through a merger. The goal was to present their content in a way that appealed to both high-end clients and smaller startup companies. Subtext collaborated with CultureIQ in developing a strategy for the website, which included reviewing competitors and discussing offerings. The final product was a WordPress website that is easy for CultureIQ staff to maintain and manage. The project, which cost around $100,000, ran from October 2018 to March 2019.
