SmashBrand undertook a packaging rebrand project for Curation Foods, a natural food company specializing in salads, avocado and guacamole products, vinegar, and olive oil. The company was looking to refresh the brand of their avocado product line, which had become stagnant after 25 years in the market. SmashBrand started with a brand exploration, identifying strengths and weaknesses, and determining how the brand fit into the existing market. They then developed three potential redesign directions, which were tested and narrowed down to one. The final design overhaul was supported by data and included product image renderings, print-ready files, nutritional information, and displays. The total cost of the project was between $150,000–$200,000.

For Nuton, a brand offering food-based and supplement-based products for the ketogenic diet market, SmashBrand provided naming and packaging design services. The company was struggling to differentiate their product in a competitive market. SmashBrand developed a story behind the chosen name, Nuton, and designed labels for the bottle and box for the first two products launched. They also helped with messaging and positioning. Following this, SmashBrand created the artwork for five additional products launched by Nuton. The main scope of work took place between March and May 2017.

SmashBrand worked with Snuggle Puppy, a company selling toys and nutritional supplements for dogs, on two packaging design projects. The first project involved retail packaging for a dog product that was being made available for kids. The second project was for the retail packaging of their dog products. SmashBrand conducted a pre-market analysis, identifying potential competitors, price points, and store positioning. They then presented several packaging options and tested them with customers. The client chose a direction based on this feedback, and SmashBrand undertook the packaging design. The total investment for this project was about $400,000. The first project started in August 2021 and the second project ran from November 2022 to April 2023.
