Smartdesc successfully completed a cloud migration project for the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organizations (ACEVO). ACEVO, a nonprofit membership organization, required assistance in transitioning from an old tech environment to a cloud-based solution. Smartdesc was selected through a competitive bidding process and was awarded the project due to their cost-effective and high-quality solution. The Smartdesc team, initially consisting of a customer strategy director and a project manager, guided ACEVO through the transition to Office 365 and assisted with the procurement of new technology kits such as laptops. The project, which was put on hold briefly due to external circumstances, began in earnest in January 2020, following a preparatory phase that started in August 2019. The cloud migration project was delivered at a cost of approximately $15,000 USD. Currently, Smartdesc continues to support ACEVO through an ongoing IT support contract.
