Highlights from Recent Projects
PocketWhale partnered with a mobile gaming publisher based in Germany to conduct an international campaign for the launch of their products on the App Store and Google Play. As the company had a small internal PR team, PocketWhale provided the necessary resources for the campaign. They effectively coordinated with the company to compile all the assets required for the launch, approached journalists, and secured extensive coverage across multiple markets. They also assisted in answering user requests about the games' features. The engagement, which took place from May to June 2016, resulted in increased traffic to the App Store and Google Play for the newly launched games.
In a separate project, PocketWhale was hired by Vivid Games, a mobile game development studio and publisher based in Poland, to assist with the soft launch of one of their mobile games. PocketWhale helped organize the structure of the soft launch, which included marketing, user acquisition, and A/B testing. The collaboration, which began in 2015, was successful and ongoing, with the company investing between $100,000–$150,000 in PocketWhale's services.
PocketWhale also worked with a Japanese mobile game developer to arrange semi-regular influencer campaigns for France, Italy, Spain, and South America. The goal was to increase consumer awareness and develop a broader, more dedicated player base outside Japan. PocketWhale presented a variety of proposals for influencer channels, suggested additional advertising platforms, and helped implement targeted and affordable test campaigns. This resulted in successful Europe-centric campaigns and a wider player base for the developer.
