Highlights from Recent Projects
The-Parallel partnered with NEBOSH, a health and safety accrediting organization, to create a virtual reality (VR) environment that enhances learning and learner engagement. The VR environment, a warehouse, was designed to help students gain confidence in hazard spotting for risk assessments. The project, which began in July 2019, is ongoing and has been positively received by NEBOSH. The-Parallel’s understanding of the project, flexibility with the accelerated schedule, and reasonable quote were all praised by the client.
For BackLite Media, The-Parallel developed a VR film to secure a new contract for prime outdoor advertising locations. The VR film was designed to give an innovative, impactful vision of how the new signs would look, replacing the traditional two-dimensional illustration. The project team was small, with one person from The-Parallel working with the client, a photographer, and sign design companies. The VR film was well-received, impressing the client with its quality and effectiveness.
In collaboration with A-100, a real estate firm, The-Parallel developed a VR and CRM platform. The platform allows users to virtually tour apartments and houses, providing an interactive experience. Additionally, a CRM system was built into the platform. The project, which ran from March to July 2017, was successful, with the client praising The-Parallel's deep understanding of the technologies and their ability to educate the client about the devices in the field. The project cost approximately $25,000.
