OpenConcept Consulting Inc.

OpenConcept Consulting Inc. completed a website development project for the University of Ottawa Centre for Continuing Education. The university center wanted to align their website with the rest of the university's Drupal-based sites and improve their data mining capabilities. OpenConcept provided frontend design and developed functionalities to enhance their internal mining process. The project was initiated almost two years ago and the collaboration continues to date, with a total investment of around $200,000, including post-launch improvements.

For the Broadcasting Accessibility Fund, a non-profit organization, OpenConcept Consulting Inc. developed an accessible website. The organization needed a highly accessible website for people with disabilities, particularly those with vision disabilities. OpenConcept was responsible for full-stack development, including the design and backend development of the site. The project, which began in July 2014 and was completed in December of the same year, cost between $25,000 and $30,000. OpenConcept continues to provide annual support for the website.

OpenConcept Consulting Inc. upgraded the website of Mediasmarts, a non-profit organization providing resources for parents and teachers. The organization had an outdated website and needed a more cost-effective content management system. OpenConcept performed a Drupal 7 upgrade, identified unnecessary programming, and tidied up the site. They have also been assisting in moving a small WordPress site onto the same server as the Drupal one. The collaboration, which started four years ago, continues to date, with OpenConcept working on an hourly basis, estimated to be between $120 and $130 per hour.
