Modea was contracted by Chesapeake Regional Healthcare to address the issue of their poorly implemented Drupal 7 website. Modea rebuilt the site using Drupal 8, created a custom “find a doctor” tool with AngularJS, and integrated HubSpot. They also made the website mobile-friendly and WCAG AA compliant. The team, led by Project Manager Ashley, worked on the project from April 2018 to January 2019. The health system invested approximately $173,200 in the project and was pleased with the results.

In another project, Modea was hired by a children's hospital to improve their website UX. Modea conducted industry research, audited the current system, and coordinated stakeholder interviews. The team, led by COO Chris, delivered design comps to the hospital's outsourced development team and provided ad hoc maintenance. The project began in July 2018 and ended in October 2018. The hospital was impressed with Modea's recommendations and the new design and functionality of the website.

In collaboration with a university hospital, Modea worked on developing a unified patient portal to integrate with the Epic enterprise medical records system. Modea developed an app that integrates with Epic and other systems to simplify patient access to various services. The project, which had a budget of $750,000, began in July 2019. Despite being delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project is expected to be completed by the end of August 2020. The hospital appreciated Modea's patient-friendly approach and their understanding of marketing requirements.
