Highlights from Recent Projects
SmartAdvocate, a software development company, sought MOBOX's expertise for the development of an iOS app for their case management system for law firms. The app, which is not for general consumers, has been released and is available in the App Store, with the back-end installed on the server for each client. MOBOX continues to add more features and make changes to the app. The project, which was not fixed-price and was based on time spent, cost between $40,000 to $50,000. The engagement began in late summer or early fall of 2015 and is still ongoing.
2x2, a math camp for children, hired MOBOX to create mobile applications to facilitate feedback and suggestions from parents and children. The iOS and Android applications were developed from scratch, with MOBOX offering four different designs. The main feature of the apps is that reviews can be written through the website as well as through the apps, allowing 2x2 to respond immediately to feedback. The project started in March 2013 and continues on a support basis, with the total cost to date exceeding $120,000.
An information aggregation processing service on US customs and import trade information hired MOBOX to create an easy-to-use, accessible application. The app, developed for iOS and Android and written in Java and Swift, mirrors the full range of action of the service and the different sections their websites provided. The project, which cost $8,000, began a year and three months ago and lasted 6-9 months, with the apps launching in October 2015.
