Mekanic was hired by Alexandria Beyond the Classroom, a nonprofit that serves as a hub for K-12 expanded learning and out-of-school time programming. The organization sought Mekanic's expertise for brand identity, messaging, design, and website development. Mekanic, chosen for their high ratings, proximity, company culture, and aligned values, delivered by creating a new brand identity and messaging for the organization. They also developed a website with an interface to connect youth and families with relevant programs. The project was executed by a team of 6-10 employees from Mekanic.
In another project, Mekanic was engaged by Society of Defense Financial Management (SDFM) for organizational rebranding and website development. SDFM, which provides education, training, and certification to the defense financial management workforce, selected Mekanic for their cultural fit, cost-value, and alignment with company values. Mekanic undertook a comprehensive rebranding exercise that included a new name, logo, and taglines for SDFM. The project also involved market/competitive analysis, surveys, focus groups, engagements with key volunteers and leaders, and acquisition of digital assets. The scope was later expanded to include website development and rebranding rollout messaging and support.
The American Peanut Council engaged Mekanic for a range of services including video production, event marketing, graphic design, website redesign, website redevelopment, social media marketing, and rebranding. Mekanic revamped the organization's website, social media, and brand, including a new logo and look. They also worked with various individuals within the organization, creating LinkedIn profiles, posts, messaging, graphics, design work, brochures, and one-pagers. Additionally, Mekanic redesigned two major conferences for the council, including new logos, branding, PowerPoint templates, videos, signage, and conference programs. The project, which began in April 2023 and is still ongoing, has so far cost the council $120,000.
