Highlights from Recent Projects
Landis Communications Inc. (LCI) worked with a brain injury rehabilitation facility to build their marketing and communications sector from the ground up. The agency handled all aspects of their PR, press outreach, PPC, and pitching. They developed press releases and plans for new clinic openings, and also consulted on internal communications. LCI created strategies to position the facility's entrepreneurial skills in the press and put their experts out in the field. The facility leaned heavily on LCI for counsel, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic when they needed company statements and other communications. The ongoing engagement started in December 2019.
LCI partnered with a forest preservation nonprofit to raise awareness about forest conservation work and the parks in California. The agency helped the nonprofit raise $15.65 million in 3-4 months to save one of the last giant sequoias in the world. They created a marketing and communications plan and helped the nonprofit's spokespeople explain the need for fire in some forests while being empathetic about the destruction caused by fires. LCI is also assisting the nonprofit with diversity and inclusion consultation. The partnership began in January 2010 and is ongoing.
The Peninsula Open Space Trust (POST) engaged LCI for PR and messaging support. The agency helped POST announce major land transactions to the public, including the purchase of a 50-acre stretch of land intended to be a public beach park and a $93 million property in Coyote Valley. LCI assisted with messaging and media relations, identifying the right spokespeople, and training them to deliver a succinct, consistent message. They also coordinated with print and on-air media. The collaboration started in February 2018 and is ongoing.
