Immersetech was hired by an eCommerce technology solutions provider to streamline their three main applications - the website, mobile app, and retail points of sale. The goal was to develop a centralized wrapper service that would act as a bridge between these applications, ensuring a seamless interface, scalability, consistency, improved security, and centralized business logic. Immersetech's team of 2-5 employees created a scalable and modular service that could grow independently based on usage patterns. The client applications could rely on a consistent API, making future updates to the loyalty engine seamless and hassle-free. Immersetech also implemented centralized authentication and authorization to secure all interactions with the loyalty engine. They set up comprehensive logging and monitoring systems to track API usage, performance, and errors, making it easier for the client to troubleshoot and maintain the system. To enhance performance, they incorporated caching mechanisms, which sped up response times and reduced the load on the loyalty engine. They also implemented rate limiting and throttling to prevent any single client from overwhelming the system.
