Highlights from Recent Projects
Honeycomb Softwares was contracted by Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) to develop an automated system for managing their large scale test publishing. The project was initiated from scratch, based on CASAS' business requirements and SQL Server database model. The goal was to create a web-based application that could be accessed easily and securely by CASAS employees across the United States. Honeycomb Softwares deployed two senior engineers for the project. The system, which started with a SQL Server backend and a Silverlight frontend, was later upgraded by Honeycomb to use Angular after Microsoft discontinued Silverlight. The system has become a vital part of CASAS' operations and continues to grow and expand in functionality.
The Petroleum Data Library (PDL) engaged Honeycomb Softwares to develop an online portal that would enable their members to interact digitally. The main objective was to allow members to perform multifaceted searches to find and procure energy resource information contained in PDL's library. Honeycomb Softwares was selected among over 100 respondents based on their knowledge, communication skills, and ability to understand PDL's requirements. The project was broken down into three key deliverables: Content/User Management, Digital Asset & Order Management in PDL context, and Digital Asset & Order Management in Customer context. The Honeycomb team comprised of the owner, a project manager, developers, a UX designer, a DBA, and testers. The team successfully delivered on the project, providing a platform that enabled PDL to manage content, users, digital assets, and orders effectively.
