Highland was hired by a financial services company to develop a demonstration of fraud mitigation best practices. The company, which specializes in payment strategy consulting and education, found Highland through an online search. The decision to hire Highland was based on their competitive pricing, good value for cost, and alignment with company values. Highland's team, consisting of 2-5 employees, successfully developed a demonstration to showcase fraud mitigation best practices, which was to be used by a global NGO for fraud mitigation advocacy.

In another project, Highland was contracted by Gloo, LLC, an IT services company that provides infrastructure and technologies to faith and church industries. The company aimed to rapidly prototype a pastor product for communicating with congregants and to develop an AI toolkit for churches. Highland was selected based on their high ratings, great culture fit, good value for cost, and alignment with company values. Highland facilitated a design sprint and successfully developed three key products in the course of three design sprints in four weeks.

Highland was also engaged by the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) to address macro-level challenges facing associations today, with a specific focus on early career member engagement and retention. Highland was tasked with designing a bridge experience pilot program for early career surgeons to increase retention and engagement. The AAOS chose Highland based on their high ratings, proximity, great culture fit, and a referral. The project, which spanned a full year, involved multiple stages including developing an early career strategy, conducting additional interview sessions with members, fine-tuning a proposal for board approval, and co-developing the pilot program.
