Highlights from Recent Projects
GRUPO ORUSS was engaged by an oil and energy company to provide IT services. The company was in need of a partner to address vulnerabilities and provide training and consulting related to ethical hacking and social engineering. GRUPO ORUSS was selected after a licitation process due to their high score among other evaluated companies. The team, composed of three members, began their collaboration in August 2020, providing services including consulting on phishing, security best practices, and general safety and vulnerabilities.
In a collaboration with TechConsulting, GRUPO ORUSS was hired to conduct a black-box type pentesting for a client company that had previously experienced ransomware issues. The goal was to identify where the ransomware could have entered and what vulnerabilities existed. A comprehensive audit was conducted over 40 hours, resulting in several vulnerabilities being identified across the client's various worldwide headquarters. A complete report was then compiled to aid in securing the company.
GRUPO ORUSS was contracted by LogisticApp, a software development company, to develop secure payment software for a client. The aim was to enable the client to take payment transactions securely from their customers. GRUPO ORUSS was selected after an evaluation of several companies due to their flexibility and ability to meet the specific needs of the project. The engagement, which ran from June to October 2020, was led by the head of the cybersecurity division at GRUPO ORUSS.
