Highlights from Recent Projects
Gramercy Tech was hired by a large media corporation to create an interactive activation for their Nickelodeon booth at San Diego Comic-Con. The company provided Gramercy Tech with a general theme, and they pitched several concepts before settling on a custom game that aligns with the Spongebob Squarepants theme. The game, a fry cook competition where participants make Krabby Patties, was a hit at the event. The Gramercy Tech team also accompanied the company to Comic-Con to set up the booth. The overall project cost was between $60,000–$70,000 and the collaboration began in January 2019.
For IMG, a sports marketing and event production company, Gramercy Tech developed interactive experience set-ups for an e-sports event. The company also implemented RFID technology and managed the data around it. Gramercy Tech produced the technology behind the registration and membership processes for the event, and provided spectators with a customized RFID band. The band tracked the player’s activation interactions and integrated the data with other technologies. The team also managed marketing and communications to ticket purchasers before the event, including creating branded registration websites. The project began in December 2018 and the event took place in July 2019.
Gramercy Tech developed a digital ticketing system for a food festival produced by MKG. The company needed a simple way to check people into the event and designate each ticket type, as well as collect data on what food people ate. Using existing RFID technology, Gramercy Tech developed a custom system and RFID-enabled wristbands. Attendees were required to swipe their band at each food station to track their food consumption. Gramercy Tech also had staff on site at the festival to ensure everything worked properly. The project took place from March–April 2019.
