Up at Five

Up at Five was hired by Miracle 10, a skincare company, to redesign and develop their website. The goal was to revitalize the site to engage loyal customers and attract new ones. The selection of Up at Five came after several virtual meetings and proposal reviews, with the natural fit with Trudy, a member of the Up at Five team, being a deciding factor. The project involved a series of discovery calls, design proposals, approvals and collaborative edits on designs, implementation of the design, and troubleshooting and completion of fine details. The team from Up at Five that worked on the project consisted of three people.

Skiis & Biikes, an outdoor sports retailer, engaged Up at Five to develop their Shopify site and move it to a Dawn 2.0 theme. The aim was to update the UI of the site, add features that tied in the in-store experience, and create PDP, landing page and PL templates that could be fast and flexible to change due to the short and dynamic selling season. The selection of Up at Five was based on their past successful collaborations. The project involved providing a Figma model of the key pages, templates, integrations, micro interactions and other UI, followed by a kick-off call to discuss timeline, potential bottlenecks and costing. The project took about three months to complete, with weekly status calls and minor tweaks to the design and functionality. The site was launched only a couple of days behind schedule and on budget. The team from Up at Five consisted of a primary developer and an assistant developer.
