Elmitel

Elmitel was hired by a company that develops IoT technology for farmers to create a cloud-based predictive software. The goal of the project was to develop a tool that could predict the appearance of pathogens based on weather patterns, helping farmers minimize losses. The software uses multiple sensors installed in orchards to collect data over extended periods of time, assess the risk factor for particular pathogens, and determine when there's a need for spraying. The company's president and CTO noted that Elmitel was chosen for this project due to their unique experience in the field.

Elmitel was contracted by Siemens to develop an Android Auto app for a charging station platform. The app, developed by Elmitel, allows users to find the best price and closest charging station for their electric vehicle. It draws live data about charging station availability through BIG IoT technology and uses GPS technology to route users from their position to the charging station. The project was part of a funded European project and Elmitel was chosen out of 40-50 proposals. The engagement lasted from July to November 2018.

A satellite operator providing mobile satellite services hired Elmitel to develop custom firmware to allow Libelium IoT devices to communicate with a SaaS platform. The goal was to create solutions using off-the-shelf IoT equipment that would work with their satellite system to serve locations worldwide. Elmitel was selected for this project due to their validated solutions in operation as part of the Libelium partner ecosystem. The project involved the design, development, operational deployment, and support of a satellite-based IoT system. The vendor continues to enhance the solution for deployments in additional areas of the world.
