Elixel

Elixel was engaged by a UK-based sleep consultancy firm to develop two mobile apps aimed at improving sleep for children and young people. The first app, designed for parents and professionals, has been fully developed and launched, while the second app, aimed at young people, is still in development. The apps, available on both Android and iOS, create a sleep profile for users, direct them to resources, and enable the creation of avatars, team members, and reminders. The project, which began in May 2021, involved a significant discovery phase and multiple iterations. The client invested approximately $150,000 in the project.

The University of Plymouth hired Elixel to revamp an online interactive 'research landscape' platform as part of the Supergen Offshore Renewable Energy Hub programme. The platform, which presents current research challenges for the development of offshore renewable energy in UK waters, was updated to improve user experience and administrative flexibility. Elixel was chosen for the project due to their high ratings, budget-friendly pricing, and cultural fit. The scope of work included improvements in user interface, navigation, content organization, browsing, external linking, and promotion of sector collaboration.

A medical company contracted Elixel to develop a mobile app for self-serve claims administration with the goal of increasing technology adoption by members. The project involved designing the app based on the existing web-based claims portal. The process included a discovery phase to understand key problems, user types, and business priorities, a UX design phase to improve navigation and visibility of benefits, a UI design phase to ensure a streamlined user experience, and a development phase involving close liaison between the client's development team and Elixel's design team. Elixel was selected for their budget-friendly pricing, cultural fit, aligned company values, and relevant previous work.
