The founder of the business was responsible for content creation, while Bottleneck worked on the technology aspects, content development, product testing, and provided feedback. They also managed the active use of the content. The founder worked closely with Jaime, the owner of Bottleneck, and his team of virtual assistants. The selection of Bottleneck as a vendor was based on the founder's impression of Jaime's character.

In another project, Bottleneck Distant Assistants was contracted by a podcast service called View from the Top to provide virtual assistant services. The company was struggling with a heavy workload and a small team, and needed assistance in finding and effectively using a virtual assistant. Bottleneck not only helped find the right personnel but also trained them properly. The company was so satisfied with the service that they increased their number of virtual assistants from one to three. The assistants helped with administrative tasks, video editing, and social media. The company invested about $82,000 in this project, which started in June 2017 and is still ongoing.

Bottleneck Distant Assistants was also engaged by a vacation management startup called Getset.co. The owner of the company needed a competent virtual assistant due to financial constraints that made it impossible to hire a domestic administrative assistant. Bottleneck provided a virtual assistant who worked part-time initially before transitioning to full-time based on her excellent performance. She helped develop a more technology-based business, handled backend accounting, and managed email communication with vendors. The company also hired a second assistant to help with real estate management. The total investment in this project was around $22,000 and the engagement started in May 2017 and is still ongoing.
