Big Nerd Ranch partnered with Orkin Pest Control to develop 11 or 12 separate iPad applications over the course of three years. The initial application allowed for seamless presentations to be customized on the fly by the account manager on the iPad, based on the customer’s needs. The second application digitized the entire sales process, from graphing to creating a scope of service, developing a proposal all within the application. The partnership was successful, with the client praising Big Nerd Ranch's quality of work and their team's approachability. The project ranged from $200,000 to a million dollars over three years.

In a project with Care+ Ventures, L.L.C., Big Nerd Ranch helped build iOS, Android, and web back-end systems for an ICU software module for mobile apps. The software improves communications between families and doctors in critical care situations. Big Nerd Ranch revisited the design of the app, implemented constructive changes, and then worked on the iOS and the web back-end, built in HTML5. The Android version of the software was completed in July 2016. The client praised Big Nerd Ranch's iterative approach to work and their excellent reputation in the design and development world. The project investment was over $200,000.

Big Nerd Ranch assisted PartCycle Technologies LLC in building an initial minimum viable product for an online e-commerce marketplace for selling and buying recycled auto parts. The team of senior backend and frontend developers and an application designer from Big Nerd Ranch helped build the initial version of the marketplace. They implemented modern development practices such as Agile software development, test-driven development, and continuous integration. They also defined the structure and feature set of the MVP and were the architects of the technical infrastructure. The client expressed their satisfaction with the project and expressed their intention to work with Big Nerd Ranch in the future.
