Highlights from Recent Projects
Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. was contracted by Virginia State Parks to develop a new Point of Sale (POS) system. The main goals were to create a system that could provide faster reporting, manage inventory effectively, and meet the strict revenue reporting requirements of the Commonwealth. Atlantis Consulting successfully delivered the project, incorporating all the client's needs into their software. They also added various reports and programming to the system as per the client's requests over the years. One of the most notable achievements was the creation of deposit certificates within the software, which was completed earlier than anticipated and successfully tested across several parks before full implementation.
The selection of Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. was based on their proposal for an internet-based system that could provide information within 24 hours, was easy to use, and could be accessed from anywhere. The system was also required to be robust enough to allow parks to sell anything within a park. The vendor's solutions, BMWeb and BMPOS, offered everything needed in a POS system at a reasonable cost. The project was executed in March 2004 and completed by September 2004, meeting the definitive timeline set by the client.
The team from Atlantis Consulting Group Inc., led by their president Corey, worked closely with the client to develop the POS software to fit the needs of Virginia State Parks and the Commonwealth. After the initial setup of the database, four parks were selected as test parks, and the vendor's team spent several days training the park staff. After successful testing, all park staff were trained on how to use both the POS software (BMPOS) and the backroom software (BMWeb). The vendor has provided exceptional 24/7 customer support since day one, going above and beyond in assisting parks with hardware and software problems, developing new reports, and adding features as suggested by the parks.
