Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. was hired by Virginia State Parks to develop a new point of sale system. The goal was to create a system that would provide faster reporting, allow both central office and park staff to manage inventory, and be easy to use. The system was also required to meet the strict revenue reporting requirements of the Commonwealth. Atlantis Consulting was selected due to their newly developed internet-based system and reasonable cost. The project was successful, with Atlantis delivering all necessary modifications and additions in a timely manner, including the creation of deposit certificates within the software.

The selection of Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. was made after Virginia State Parks issued a Request for Proposal and reviewed the submissions. The vendor was chosen for their ability to provide an internet-based system that was easy to use and could be accessed from anywhere. The system also needed to be robust enough to allow parks to sell anything within a park. The project was executed in March 2004, with the President of Atlantis Consulting Group Inc., Corey, leading the development of the POS software. The project was completed on time, with the POS system being implemented in parks by September 2004.

Throughout the project, Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. provided exceptional customer support. Corey was the main point of contact until his passing in November 2012. Afterward, a dedicated customer service manager, Darren, took over as the technical support person. Atlantis Consulting Group Inc. has consistently gone above and beyond in assisting parks with hardware and software problems, developing new reports, and adding features that parks suggest or ask for. The company has provided Virginia State Parks with 24/7/365 customer support.
