The division, originally known as Red Bend Software, sought to gain exposure for a specific automotive technology. Racepoint Global developed marketing strategies and leveraged their networking capabilities to promote the technology to automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). They positioned the technology as secure and reliable, which led to the acquisition of Red Bend Software by Harman and subsequently by Samsung.
