Nika Craft was hired by Naradana WebSolutions for technical and UI development within the Naradana Platform. They were tasked with creating a generic UI control, fixing legacy bugs, and making several UI improvements. Nika Craft was also responsible for reorganizing the database model for multi-language support and researching solutions for the migration of the code generators to node.js. The aim of the project was to improve the functionality of the Naradana Platform and evaluate the technical challenges of migrating from ASP with JetEngine to node.js and PostgreSQL.
The project required Nika Craft's team of three developers, who were still completing their university degrees, to learn to program within the Naradana Platform. This added an extra layer of challenge to their task. However, the team, led by a Nika Craft lead developer, were able to leverage their significant expertise to meet the project requirements. They used JavaScript for client-side and server-side programming, implemented certain UI functionality with Dojo, and worked with complex object models.
Despite the project ending abruptly due to unforeseen budget restrictions, Nika Craft was able to transfer unfinished tasks back to Naradana. The project was largely successful, with Nika Craft demonstrating their ability to adapt to a new work environment and meet project demands. The collaboration model employed allowed for intensive communication between Naradana and Nika Craft, ensuring a smooth and efficient project progression.
